Train Ride

Back & forth you go with me again
Wishy-washy, you say it’s the end
Up & down your anger builds & rages
Inside out, my heart gives, mind races.

Crushed under the enormous weight
The stress boxed & loaded like freight
Anger boils as you narrow your sight
Losing you forever my one & only fright.

Mending the track, bring it back to new
Is the only thing with you, I want to do
Broken rails ahead will always be found Doesn’t mean the ride isn’t safe & sound.

The gift of a lifetime is time in & of itself
Over it, can set our rail back to good health
Down the track a ways will give flourish A calm place for our souls to nourish.

Giving up is losing, so don’t stop winning
Around the hoop, your ball’s repetitively  rimming
Uncertainty feels like doom descending
My love for you I will continue on defending.

We haven’t rode these lines yet very far
The tracks go til they reach our fated star
We both wished upon it once long ago
That brought us together, by destiny’s pull.

Mend these tracks with me a little more
Riding rails of our dreams is left in-store
Contentment in growing old
Always with your hand to hold.

The dizziness of confusion hanging
Tears stream down in moonlight waning
Answers begged for of deep understanding
Unconditional love is harshly demanding.

To & fro your trust is wavering again
Stop & go on this railway to the end
Open & close rail cars full of memories
Huffy-puffy full steam goes into my pleas.

Back & forth you go with me once again
Wishy-washy, you say it’s really the end
Up & down your anger ceases & then rages
Inside out, my heart bleeds & mind races.
